I select the children's and teen books for DC Public Library, where I also mentor staff, lead professional development workshops, and partner with museums. I am interested in the art and design of the picture book and in engaging children and adults with the form. I have facilitated conferences on visual literacy for the Association of Library Service to Children, and I review children's books for Kirkus Reviews.
