Nonfiction Award Event Registration
By registering to participate in a Guild-sponsored event, members and guests consent to abide by the Children's Book Guild of Washington, DC, Code of Conduct/Anti-Harassment Policy. Read the Code here.
The annual Children’s Book Guild of Washington, DC’s Nonfiction Award event honoring author Catherine Reef will be held online via Zoom from 1:00-2:30 pm EST on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The event is free*, with a suggested donation of $15 to the DC-Metro Youth Literacy Grants (see link below), and registration is required. Books may also be pre-ordered (see link below).
Donate to the DC-Metro Youth Literacy Grants
While registering for the Nonfiction Award event, an optional donation can be made to the DC-Metro Youth Literacy Grants. Every year the Children's Book Guild provides $500 grants to schools in the DC area. Schools receive funds to acquire books for their libraries, media centers, or classrooms. Schools make their selections and purchases through First Book Marketplace.
