Ann McCallum Staats

A former teacher with a master’s degree in education, award-winning Ann McCallum Staats has dedicated over two decades to writing for children. Her latest book is FANTASTIC FLORA: THE WORLD’S BIGGEST, BADDEST, AND SMELLIEST PLANTS (illustrated by Zoë Ingram). Upcoming is A QUILT OF STARS, co-written with astronaut Karen Nyberg and illustrated by Alida Massari (Sept. 2026) along with two other STEM titles.
